The 00619 Poly Puller is a new puller introduced by DCD and has features that make it a very different puller than others on the market. Most obvious is the Polyurethane nose cone - this material has proved to be extremely durable during field testing. This puller will also cover a larger range of bore sizes compared to the 00620 series. It comes standard with a Duct Plugger as well as a rear pulling eye. Standard Duct Sleeves (00625 series) can also be used with this product. See Flyer. The 00619 Series duct puller together with the 00620 & 00621 Series of duct pullers are designed to grip polyethylene ducting using expanding jaws to grip the inside wall of the duct. This causes the pulling load to be spread around the circumference of the duct and allows a maximum load to be applied without damage to the ducting. Care should be taken at all times not to exceed the yield value of the ducting since this may cause permanent deformation to the duct as well as loss to the integrity of the polyethylene. On thin wall ducting, it is recommended that an outer Duct Sleeve (please refer to specification sheet for corresponding Duct Sleeve part numbers) be used to prevent the duct from stretching during installation. You could also choose to use the DUB-Wise with a built in outer sleeve. A firmer and more stable grip will also be obtained when this is done. Use of a Duct Plugger will help prevent mud and slurry from entering past the puller into the ducting (please refer to specification sheet for corresponding Duct Plugger part numbers). These Duct Pullers are installed quickly and easily and require no special tooling. Duct wall (applicable on the 00619 & 00620 imperial sizes) thickness is normally designated by an SDR value. The lower the SDR value, the heavier the wall thickness. These products can be used on SDR 11 through SDR 17 ducting. When ordering 10" or 12" Duct Pullers, the SDR value of the Duct must be specified. Additional jaw sets are available for SDR 9, SDR 11 and SDR 17 and can be purchased separately to modify the puller. Inquire for part numbers. Metric duct wall thickness (00621 series) is normally designated by a PN value. The lower the PN value, the heavier the wall thickness. These products can be used on PN6 through PN10 ducting.
