The design of this cable block (with roller for the strand instead of a hook that has to slide on the strand) helps eliminate friction when pushing cable blocks while lashing. Additionally, when pulling cable, you can tie off the Cable Placing Roller at equally spaced lengths, allowing the cables and blocks to be pulled in at the same time.
