If you use a machine similar to either of the above, then you can
use our products.
Swivel Products
Our DUB products are used primarily in the horizontal directional
drilling market. DCD carries a large range of product and sizes to
fit every contractors demand.
There is a growing trend for small directional drill manufactures to offer larger and more expensive rigs. In an effort to keep pace with their competition and to enlarge their capabilities, many small contractors are investing in these bigger machines, but what does this mean for the down-hole tools they need and must have?
Every chain has its weakest link and using low quality, inexpensive
tools to connect the drill string to the utility being installed
is a false sense of economy. DCD has the aim of providing help in
your selection of the correct tool both for your machine and your
budget.

The History of
Pullback Swivels Pullback swivels are a necessary and very important part of every Directional Drilling operation. The saying that "any force is only as strong as the weakest link" is indeed true when considering the pullback. The swivel has to be able to stand up to not only the tensile forces caused by the pullback, but also the rotational forces and the side loads caused by certain conditions. For that, the bearings must be of a type suitable for absorbing both thrust and radial loads. The swivel must be able to prevent ingress of dirt and contaminants to the bearings which would cause premature failures. For this, the seals need to be of a type suitable to withstand mud, grime and anything else found underground. Choosing the right swivel should be determined by the capacity of the machine, not just the load being pulled. A wise contractor should generally try to select a swivel with equal or greater capacity than the machine it will be used on.
