Yesterday, members from the DCD Team did the Grouse Grind. This is a 1.8 mile hike taking you up a 30 degree grade, 2,800 feet up the mountain side. Mission Accomplished! For some of us it was our 1st time and a repeat for others. This is a timed event with our times ranging from 1 hr to 1 hr, 40mins. Congrats Lindsey on beating the guys to the top! The best time ever for this rugged mountain goat trail is 23 minutes, 48 seconds.

At the top of Grouse Mountain is a popular ski hill in the winter months. Even in June, there is evidence of snow on the ground. Nice restaurant/pub at the top to enjoy the great views of the beautiful city of Vancouver and your success of completing the grind. We enjoyed the Gondola ride back down the mountain! Grouse Mountain has gone green with their own wind turbine with observation deck, which is visible from downtown Vancouver. It was great to view one of them erected, after having our swivels and cable pulling eyes be used on similar projects.
