This would be put in series with a swivel.<\/p>\n<p>  The <a href=\"http:\/\/www.dcddesign.com\/breakaway-swivels-connectors.htm\">00550 series breakaway swivels<\/a> are available in three sizes for load ranges up to 2000lb; however, the compact size of these swivels limits the sealing capacity, so \u2013 while they do work \u2013 they\u2019re not recommended for directional drilling work because mud will infiltrate over time and damage the swivel bearings.<\/p>\n<p>  For the larger lines, our <a href=\"http:\/\/www.dcddesign.com\/breakaway-swivels-connectors.htm\">standard 00560-010 breakaway connector<\/a> can be set with different pin combinations in a couple minutes to pull between 750 \u2013 12,500lb.  This is the most flexible option, though it needs to be paired with <a href=\"http:\/\/www.dcddesign.com\/DUB-Lite.htm\">a swivel suited to HDD<\/a>.  (We have still <a href=\"http:\/\/www.dcddesign.com\/breakaway-swivels-connectors.htm\">larger breakaway connectors<\/a>, up to 45,000lb if needed.)<\/p>\n<p>  We\u2019ve found that the most flexible solution is a swivel that\u2019s made for HDD, paired with a simple connector with plenty of break-point options.
