I spent a couple days in San Antonio, walking the floor at the OSP Expo and talking to the vendors, manufacturers and distributors on hand. It was… interesting.
About a year ago, at the ICUEE show in Louisville, there was a sense of optimism. We had come through “the worst of it” and everyone was excited to still be on the ground and getting things done.

This year, we’re still going through the worst of it! There were new products at the show, but most people were satisfied with the status quo. I think it’s worth noting though: we’re still here and we’re still getting things done. Despite everything. That’s a pretty big achievement in itself.
I stopped in for a sales call after the show and found some optimism in San Antonio, after all. He said, “Yeah, we’re close to the bone, but people are still working, so business is still going.”
Here’s a photo from the trip: of the Mission Concepcion, a couple miles downriver of The Alamo.
